I know that I've hardly (if at all) submitted anything here on my online gallery. To tell you the truth I haven't draw anything at all since my digital painting course. I've been pursuing other routes of interest. On campus today they had a Career Day in the cafeteria. I tried to complete the "little expedition" for a free lunch, but ran out of time since I had to go to work (yes I've actually got a job now). So, in the expedition, you had to get answers to questions based on the career, after you answered you got a stamp. Collected them all=free lunch. I ended up spending a good ten minutes at one booth or another because they're explaining the answer to you about the course and how you "can sign up and get a job working for us...". So yeah, I got some papers about all the different courses. One that stood out was the art department. A professor there recognize me when I walked up to the booth and asked what classes I took with what professor. 'Course I told him that took the 2 Applied Art and Design courses. I got the answer to the question for the expedition, he explained the majors and course I could take. It seemed that he seriously wanted me to pursue more art courses, because he gave me the list of classes and his business card (with the office number, hours, etc). I never really thought about art as much lately since I've been preoccupied with getting a different major. So that was what really stood out to me the most: having professor recognize me from about 2-3 semesters ago and told me to come and see him again about pursuing more art classes. So yeah, it's been on my mind for a while and I had to share it. I really did enjoy those art classes that I took. I was a challenge with Digital Painting but I worked through it learned some new things. I don't know, what do you think about this? Art and drawing is something that still feel I enjoy and connect to.
I still have all my supplies from drawing class...
I still have my still life charcoal drawing...
...and all the works I did for digital painting (I hope to frame and hang up).
I still really enjoy art.
I really like the feeling of accomplishment I get after working on a drawing and have it turn out well.
